AgfaPhoto has launched the high definition DV-5580Z camcorder at PMA 2009.With a maximum of 1440 x 1080 pixels and 30 frames per second for video, you'll also be able to take still images at 8 megapixels. There's a 5x optical zoom, and optional 4x digital zoom, plus digital image stabilisation as well to reduce blurring.
The DV-5580Z is lightweight at 160g and measures just 12 x 6cm. It features a 2.5-inch swivelling display to view back your videos and images on, but the included TV cable allows you to play them back on your TV with an HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Finally the camcorder benefits from nine different programs including automatic, portrait, nights, sport and manual, lithium-ion rechargeable battery and an expandable memory of up to 8GB.
The AgfaPhoto DV-5580Z will be available in the States sometime this month for $249.95 - no details have been released for Europe as yet. Cameras, Camcorders, PMA2009, Agfaphoto
