As we'd reported would be the case last month, TomTom has announced two new versions of the TomTom ONE and TomTom XL that will launch in the UK mid-April and guess what, Pocket-lint has already grabbed a hands on with the new model.

The TomTom ONE IQ Routes and TomTom XL IQ Routes bring technologies previously only available on the higher spec TomTom GO series to the TomTom ONE and TomTom XL ranges for the first time.

In addition, the two new models have been completely revised and feature a new black finish, a new user interface and increased Tele Atlas European map coverage.

In addition there's lane guidance, safety camera alerts, fuel price info (as a free 3 month trial) as well as TomTom HOME desktop software and Map Share.

The TomTom ONE IQ Routes has a 3.5-inch screen while the TomTom XL IQ Routes gets a 4.3-inch display.

TomTom XL IQ Routes edition will go on sale for £189.99 for the UK/Ireland model and £209.99 for the one with European maps.
