Fujifilm has announced the launch of the FinePix F200EXR that will get the company's new "Super CCD EXR" switchable sensor technology, the first to do so. We managed to get a hands on with the new camera.

The 12-megapixel compact also offers a Fujinon 5x, 28-140mm wide angle optical zoom lens and a 3-inch 230,000 dot LCD.

There's also face detection with auto red eye removal, five "Film Simulation Modes" to ape effects you'd get with film cameras, HD photo output to HDTVs, dual image stabilisation, sensitivity up to ISO 12800 on 3 million-pixel pics and intelligent flash.

The FinePix F200EXR will be available from end of February in "Carbon Quartz". Fujifilm says pricing will be announced nearer to the date of the launch.
