The two players will try and cover the top and middle markets with the DMP-BD80 focusing on sound quality, and the DMP-BD60 offering basic functions.
Each model will feature a high-definition Audio Decoder (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential) and PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus technology, that helps improve the picture quality, as well as 1080p Up-Conversion, that upscales content recorded in the 576i/p or 720p format to 1080p.
