Canon today announced a couple of hot additions to their IXUS range: the IXUS 110 IS and IXUS 990 IS.

The IXUS 110 IS offers wide-angle shooting with a 28-112mm, 4x optical zoom lens, paired with a 2.8-inch wide aspect 16:9 PureColor LCD II. The IXUS 110 IS will be available in gold, silver, pink and blue.

The IXUS 990 IS meanwhile gives you 5x optical zoom and features a 3-inch display around the back. The 990 IS comes in a “classic metallic” finish.

Both cameras feature a 12.1-megapixel sensor and Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor, so come with the likes of "Smart Auto" modes and scene detection as well as image stabilisation. You also get the ability to capture HD movies at 1280 x 720 at 30fps and they feature an HDMI connection to hooking up to your HD TV.

The IXUS 110 IS will be available mid-March priced at £349, whilst the IXUS 990 IS will appear in April for £379.
