Logitech updates support for Squeezebox music services

Adds Napster and Classic.com into the mix

Logitech has announced the support of a whole host of new music services for its Squeezebox network music players.

Among them is Napster, which will now open its library of more than 7 million songs to Squeezebox owners in the UK and Germany.

The company is also adding support across Europe for Deezer's WebRadio and SmartRadio streamed music services, Mediafly's on-demand personalised channels of shows and podcasts, and Classical.com's selection of classical, jazz and blues music from around the world.

These new services have been added to existing services including
Last.fm's personalised music streams and the web-based digital music storage of MP3 tunes Music Lockers.

"The addition of Napster, Deezer, Mediafly and Classical.com music
services brings a dramatically richer selection of music to the Logitech Squeezebox", said David Wall, regional product manager of Logitech's streaming music business.

"Now you have literally thousands of songs and radio stations at your fingertips. The only challenge is deciding what to listen to, and where".

Napster and Classical.com are offering free 30-day trials to Squeezebox owners, but will then require users to pay for the service.

Deezer WebRadio, SmartRadio, and Mediafly on the other hand are free services that will never require a subscription fee.

For more information on the services offered, or on the Squeezebox itself, head over to the Logitech website.
