Fujifilm announces FinePix J250

With a 28mm wide-angle lens

17 February 2009 14:25 GMT / By Verity Burns

Fujifilm has announced the J250 camera, another addition to its affordable J-Series range.

Featuring 10 megapixels, a 28mm wide-angle Fujinon, 5x zoom and a 3-inch LCD screen, the FinePix J250 also benefits from dual image stabilisation, scene recognition auto and face detection technology with red eye removal.

The addition of dual image stabilisation is a first for J-Series cameras, and combines CCD shift technology with high ISO settings to prevent blur on images.

The J250 will be available in silver or black brushed metallic finishes, although no pricing or availability information has been announced as yet. Still, Fujifilm has promised that the price point will "amaze you", so we'd expect it to be pretty reasonable.
