Sony launches Cyber-shot W270

Sony has announced the UK launch of the Cyber-shot W270 that it says "puts even more shooting power in your pocket".

With a 5x optical zoom range and 28mm wide angle Carl Zeiss lens, the W210 offers 12.1 megapixels.

The new compact gets Sony's BIONZ processor, up to 3200 ISO, and "Optical SteadyShot" as well as "intelligent auto mode", "enhanced" face detection and smile shutter.

The W210 boasts a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen and offers a 720p HD movie mode for video capture.

The W270 is due to be available from mid-March 2009 in silver, black, red and gold for £239 from SonyStyle.co.uk.
