After an 8 year wait, Lego has launched a new version of its Lego Mindstorm product range. The new range called Mindstorm NXT will be aimed at 10-year-olds across the globe and is tipped to be the must have Christmas toy for 2006.

Netgear Wi-Fi phone
The NETGEAR Wi-Fi phone will offer users the ability to use the Skype service whenever they are are within range of a wireless internet access point. With this device, headphones or USB phones plugged into a laptop or PC are not required.

Belkin wireless USB hub
Belkin has announced a new CableFree USB Hub that does not require a cable to connect to the computer with the aim of allowing people to place their laptop anywhere in the room while still maintaining wireless access to their USB devices, such as printers, scanners, hard drives, and MP3 players.

Ceiva Digital Photo Receiver
Photographers will soon be able to bore family members and friends with their holiday photos while still on holiday thanks to a new digital frame launched at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas. Called the Digital Photo Receiver, the 15-inch electronic photo frame allows users to share their digital images straightway by uploading images to a central server online which are then downloaded to the device.

Logitech Mac Keyboard
Logitech has introduced the Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser designed specifically for Mac users. The new cordless keyboard-and-mouse combination comes in soft white with silver accents, matching the colouring of the Mac. The ultra-flat keyboard is less than 3/4 inches (19 mm) high, serving an ergonomic purpose by minimising wrist extension.

Thomson LYRA X3000 PMP
The portable media centre that will connect DIRECTV digital video recorders to transfer programs and movies to watch on the go. Although DIRECTV is not currently in the UK, the move paves the way for similar services like Sky to possibly follow suit.
