Dell has announced an exclusive XPS desktop gaming system that promises four specially designed graphics cards over two PCI slots to deliver graphics 10x greater than the Xbox 360 console.Called the XPS Renegade 600, the US exclusive desktop model, is the first PC to offer four of NVIDIA's flagship GeForceŽ 7800 GTX GPUs with an NVIDIA nForceŽ4 SLI X16 motherboard.
The stats for the machine are mind boggling: The unit can produce high definition resolutions-including up to 2560x1600 and offer 32x antialiasing and 16x anisotropic filtering images.
Aside from the impressive graphics cards, the desktop will include an Intel Pentium Extreme Edition Dual-Core 955W/HT which has been factory overclocked to 4.26Ghz.
The PC will also include 2Gb Dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667Mhz and be hand painted and signed by Mike Lavallee . Michael Dell's signature will alos be on the box.
However all this extra power comes at a price, Dell insiders suggested that the desktop machine would retail somewhere in the region of $6000.
The company is hoping to sell around 100 units. Hardware, Desktop PCs, Dell, CES2006
