"Constant Connect" updates email via Bluetooth

16 February 2009 14:22 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Lenovo and Research In Motion have announced that the two companies will work together to offer a "tighter integration" of Lenovo's ThinkPads and RIM's BlackBerrys.

The companies plan to promote new Lenovo mobile solutions that they say will help on-the-go business users enhance their mobile computing and communications experience through the improved integration.

Lenovo Constant Connect will offer an "unparalleled user experience" for real-time access to enterprise-based email by auto-syncing email received on a user's BlackBerry smartphone to the user's ThinkPad via Bluetooth.

Lenovo Constant Connect is expected to be available from Lenovo in the second quarter of 2009 in the US, and to be rolled out in markets around the world later in 2009.
