13 February 2009 13:38 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

ALK Technologies has announced that its CoPilot Live GPS navigation system will be available for the recently announced Toshiba TG01.

CoPilot Live uses the phone's GPS capabilities to provide what it says is full-featured turn-by-turn navigation and 3D or 2D widescreen map views similar to that of a premium dedicated navigation system.

The software will offer street maps as well as real-time info services such as traffic alerts, fuel price info and weather conditions.

Drivers will also get CoPilot's safety camera alerts with free camera database updates available for download directly to the phone.

Exact availability and pricing is to be confirmed.
