The biggest mobile phone show in the world is about to start and Pocket-lint will be there live, covering all the news as it happens.

Mobile World Congress sees all the big handset manufacturers descending upon Barcelona for four fun packed days of phones, apps, OSs, and much more, as exhibitors try to lure us with their wares so we can bring you the low down on the must have phones to look out for over the next 12 months.

Everyone from Sony Ericsson to Samsung, Nokia to RIM, LG to Microsoft, Opera to Mozilla (you get the picture) and a whole lot more will be there.

The good news for you is that Pocket-lint will be live from the city of art from Sunday evening getting a glimpse of some of the latest phones, apps and gadgets ahead of the official opening of the conference on Monday.

So what can you expect from Pocket-lint? All the latest announcements from the world of mobile phones, live coverage from all the major press announcements, and the low down on what's what as it's happening from all the exhibitors at the show.

You can follow all the news in a number of ways from us; via our dedicated MWC 2009 page, via our MWC 2009 RSS, via a dedicated module on our customisable homepage (click on the customise homepage button on the blue bar on the homepage) and finally the whole site via Twitter.

So what can we expect? Here's what we do know; new handsets from LG, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson and possibly Google. More details on the Palm Pre, Hopefully the confirmation of Microsoft's new 6.5 OS, plus plenty more.
