Buffalo has announced the launch of its JustStore desktop product, describing it as a high capacity, low cost, simple to use, direct USB attached storage device for PCs and Macs.

Aimed at people who need to store, back-up and transport digital files without the added extras that come with many external hard drives, the Buffalo JustStore Desktop comes in either 500GB or 1TB capacities at what the company says is an affordable price.

"People are watching every penny they spend. The Buffalo JustStore Desktop is incredibly easy to use, with no complications or difficult set-up procedures. Files can be backed up as soon as it's connected to a computer, which is great for those who want their important information kept safe, with no fuss", said Paul Hudson, Northern European sales director at Buffalo.

Pre-formatted with no need for additional drivers, the drive boasts a power-saving mode and comes with a 2-year warranty. The Buffalo JustStore backup is available in the UK from March 2009 priced at £75 for the 500GB model and £105 for the 1TBer.
