Vopium VoIP services launches in UK

12 February 2009 20:03 GMT / By Verity Burns

Vopium has launched its VoIP services in the UK, offering cheap mobile phone calls and text messages to more than 200 countries across the world.

All you need to do to take advantage of the service is install Vopium for free onto your mobile, and register to receive 30 free minutes of talk time and 100 free SMS.

Vopium integrates directly with your address book, and re-routes all your international calls via the least expensive method available, resulting in heavily discounted call and text messages costs abroad being cut to 9p.

On top of this, if you're connected to a Wi-Fi network and call another Vopium Wi-Fi user, you'll be able to get the call completely free.

For some idea of what you'll pay, it'll be 5p a minute to landlines and mobiles in India and Australia, and 2p a minute to landlines and mobiles to the USA and Poland.

The Vopium service is compatible with over 500 handsets in 15 countries. Head on over to the Vopium website for full details.
