Easy to add a monitor via a USB port

Lindy has launched a new USB to DVI adapter that claims to make it easy to add an extra screen even when there is no spare connection.

The Lindy USB to DVI adapter allows the user to connect an extra display to a computer's USB 2.0 port and can be used to extend or mirror the Windows desktop or as the primary video output.

Compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista, up to six adapters can be connected to one PC, providing it has enough USB ports available.

The adapter's DVI-I interface supports both VGA or DVI-D monitor connections as well as DVI resolutions up to 1680 x 1050 and 2048 x 1280 on VGA.

Eliminating the need for an additional graphics card, the user needs to install the driver supplied before using the adapter for the first time.

The Lindy USB to DVI adapter (part no 42883) is available now from www.lindy.co.uk, price £89.99 incl VAT.
