Samsung spoilt the surprise from their press conference by putting up massive poster adverts for the Beat DJ around Barcelona, hosting Mobile World Congress this week.
What wasn't clear was that there were two handsets being launched, the M7600 Beat DJ, featuring a 2.7-inch AMOLED display, and the M7610 Beat Disc, which is a slider handset.
In terms of hardware, both phones come tricked-out with stereo Bang & Olufsen speakers, featuring ICEpower Technology and SRS WOW for virtual 5.1 surround sound. Also thrown into the mix is Samsung’s DNSe tech as found on their standalone music players.
But hardware aside, it is the software features that music lovers will really get excited about, including track tagging and music recommendations.
The Beat DJ however lets you do your mixing on the move with the ability to scratch records on that touchscreen and add your own voice into the mix.
In addition to the music focus, the handsets feature HSDPA connectivity, a 3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth, whilst the Beat DJ also has a GPS.
No news on when they will be available, but we'll let you know as soon as we do.
