Mozilla has announced the first milestone release of its mobile phone browser Fennec for Windows Mobile is now available for download.Back in December as the organisation announced the release of Fennec Alpha 2 for Nokia Internet Tablets it said it was making good progress with a Windows Mobile version - as well as with an as-yet unreleased offering for Symbian phones.
This Windows Mobile release is classed as "pre-alpha", and is said to be intended to get the product into the hands of early adopters in order to get feed back and bug reports, rather than for the average consumer.
Mozilla has made the release available only for one device - the HTC Touch Pro. Those interested in testing and bug reporting can download the software direct to their handset, or to their PC and transfer it via Activesync.
We'll bring you more news on other versions of Fennec, as well as new releases to existing versions, when we have it. Phones, Software, Mozilla, Fennec, Browsers, Microsoft, HTC
