They say that a picture can convey 1000 words - but they tend to say a lot of things.

If you fancy taking some pictures, and are looking to save some cash on the compact variety, then the Samsung S1070 10.2-megapixel digital camera may be the order of the day.

It is down from its RRP of £99.99 to £69.99 at Play.com and is available in black, pink and silver.

The 10.2-megapixel camera has a 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom along with a 2.7-inch LCD screen. Also worth a mention is that it offers an ISO equivalent of up to 1600 and will support SD cards of up to 8GB.

Additional specs includes Samsung's face detection technology, auto focus, auto exposure and digital image stabilisation.
