Windows 7 download window closing

Deadline looms for downloads

The general availability for any old Joe or Jane Blogs to download the Windows 7 Beta is closing.

From 10 February no new downloads will be available to those who have not yet had a go at installing Microsoft's new operating system.

Those who have already begun downloading the Windows 7 Beta, you now have until 12 February to complete the download.

Microsoft has already extended the beta availability - it was due to finish on 24 January, but the time to download was increased into February.

The company said that this was "because enthusiasm continues to be so high for the Windows 7 Beta and we don’t want anyone to miss out".
