Welcome to 1981, when shoulder pads were big and hair was even bigger.

What wasn’t big, was the realisation that these new-fangled computer devices would one day control pretty much every area of our lives – including delivering news.

This report from 1981 marvels at the concept and it harks back to all those fabulous old Tomorrow’s World clips. With fewer jet packs and hover boots though.
