Hitachi launches mobile with 3D display

30 January 2009 16:29 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

In Japan Hitachi has launched the Wooo H001, a clamshell mobile that offers a 3D parallax view.

As well as displaying 3D content, apparently the phone can "convert" existing 2D pics by doing something clever to the perceived depth. It also features a 5-megapixel camera and a 1seg TV tuner.

Not for oiks like us - it's a Japanese launch and will likely stay that way.
