Daily Tech Deal: Cash for your old DVDs with Musicmagpie

Money saving deals, offers and innovations

29 January 2009 13:00 GMT / By Ben Crompton

The Daily Tech Deal today brings you something that everyone can use and will quite literally make you some money, rather than entice you to spend any.

The service, Musicmagpie, currently allows you to send in old CDs in return for cash, which sounds fair enough, but from the 28 January you not only can exchange CDs, but DVDs too.

This opens up a whole new avenue for those of you who have a large DVD collection that is gathering dust on the shelf, or who have upgraded to Blu-ray and no longer have a need for the old format.

Whatever the reason this could be a great way to get rid of some clutter and make some money in the process.

The site states that unwanted DVDs can be worth anything up to £3 each and those who want to trade in their old CDs and DVDs will receive a welcome pack containing Freepost labels.
