  • 1993 I bought my first computer and it was an ACER, over the last 16 every subsequent new upgrade has been with ACER. I have had other computers (such as 'ADVENT' ) but have always gone back to Acer's. I have more recently with the onset of mobile communications such as WiFi, been looking to buy a Laptop. To get a fantastic looking machine such as the ferrarri (Acer again)would cost around a thousand pounds (suppose you will be paying for the Ferrarri name), but to get a great looking machine at a reasonable price you will have to choose the likes of machines made by Dell, Acer's are as good if not better and I have found that the screen size is usually bigger on Acer models, and on comparison recently in a local superstore I found only one machine on display with a comparable screen size to the Acer's on show, and that was a Sony Vaio at nearly double the price with all specs being similar. • Man, try Apple and you'll never get back to acer :) Posted by Local Punisher, Moldova
  • Yea until you realize how limiting and overpriced Apple's pcs are Posted by Rob, United States
  • Windows PC's cost less and do much, much less. I am an IT admin (all windows based) and for home switched to Apple.

Most of the people buy win PC as they have a lot of free time (bums) and can spend days / weeks trying to fix windows crap problems. For the hard working types stick to Apple and you will be fine.

  • Kamma you're a genius! However did you write such a witty article. I can only aspire to be as unbias and informative as you. Keep up the hard work, why not buy something, anything apple to give yourself a pat on the back. By the way, you must suck as an IT admin if your a mac fanboy. Loser. Posted by A, UK
  • I agree with you A...

I'm sorry to all the apple fans, but they aren't exactly the best computers for such high price...
