Stateside statistics have been revealed for the launch of the BlackBerry Storm, RIM's first touchscreen smartphone.The handset, said to have been created for UK operator Vodafone and on sale in America through Verizon Wireless, went on sale on 21November.
From the device's debut through to January, 1 million units have been sold, said company officials responding to a WSJ article about the phone's "bumpy start".
"That's not a bumpy start", a spokesperson said, while a company report states that "customers across the country lined up to purchase the new BlackBerry Storm", when it went on sale. Phones, BlackBerry, Verizon, Vodafone, Statistics
