Apple iPhone 2.2.1 update released

As Papermaster cleared to start work

Apple has once again decided not to offer a Cut and Paste functionality with the latest iPhone/iPod touch update.

The new 2.2.1 update instead promises the usual array of bug fixes rather than any new ground breaking software.

You can get the update via Apple's iTunes software.

In related Apple iPhone news, the company has announced that Mark Papermaster, the company's high-profile signing from IBM last year has finally been cleared to work for the company.

Papermaster will be coming to Apple as senior vice president of Devices Hardware Engineering. He will lead Apple’s iPod and iPhone hardware engineering teams.

Apple say the litigation between IBM and Mark Papermaster has been resolved.
