Nintendo brings Naruto sequels to Wii and DS

Some ninja moves coming your way in February and March

If you're a beat 'em up fan, then this is apparently the moment you've been waiting for. So says Nintendo anyway, as it prepares to launch two Naruto ninja games into the European market.

Firstly, Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 will be available for the Wii on 13 February, before Naruto Ninja Destiny 2 is released for the DS on 6 March.

Both based on the popular Shonen Jump's Naruto manga series, the Wii game will feature 3D visuals and a unique
storyline which branches off from the series and features 15 entirely new characters.

Taking full advantage of the Wii's unique controls, players can execute ninja techniques using their hands as well as link a series of hand signs to trigger effects such as restoring your Chakra.

In the game, you control Naruto and his companions fighting against a group of bad guys that are threatening to destroy Leaf Village by turning everyone against each other.

Multiplayer action is catered for, with up to four players
able to fight simultaneously on one console, but the Mission Mode also provides extended gameplay for single players as well.

As for Naruto Ninja Destiny 2, the DS game is also 3D with new characters and scenarios.

A total of 25 characters are playable, which includes characters from Ninja Destiny and Shinobi Retsuden II as well as the all new characters. A first for the series is that if you are good enough, you will get the chance to play as all the Hokages - First to Fifth.

Playing as Naruto, you can explore Leaf Village and collect items as you go. The story you are following takes place right after the battle between Naruto and Sasuke at the Final Valley, which means there are plenty more battles to come.

Single player story mode is not the end to the game though. After clearing it once, the number of playable characters in Free Battle Mode and Wireless Battle Mode will increase, and you will also unlock the single-player Quest Mode.

As Wireless Battle Mode would suggest, you can take on a friend and unleash your ninja chops on them via the Nintendo DS Wireless Communication.

So there you have it. Keep your eyes peeled for the version that tickles your fancy in February and March.
