UPDATED: Killzone 2 bundle confirmed for UK

Will this help Sony's 2009 get off to a good start?

Sony has confirmed that there will be a PS3 bundle release for Killzone 2 in the UK.

Strangely we have been told that the cost for the PS3 bundle will be £299.99 but don't have a release date for either the bundle or the separate game.

However, it was confirmed in December that the sequel to the popular FPS would be seeing a US release on 27th February so maybe that's some kind of idea as to when we can expect it.

Seen as a system seller by many, the release of the bundle is perhaps hoped to boost sales of the next-gen console even further in 2009, after the console celebrated a 40% growth in year-on-year sales in 2008 compared to 2007.

UPDATE:

Sony UK has now confirmed a UK and Ireland release date of 27th February.
