Capcom has finally confirmed that PS3 users will be able to get their hands on a Resident Evil 5 demo, but it will be more than a week later than it appears on Xbox Live Marketplace on 26 January.

Available from 2 February, the demo will include the same two levels as the Xbox demo - levels Assembly Place and Shanty Town.

You will be able to play alone with the computer as your companion, or with someone else in either an offline split-screen option or online PSN co-op with voice chat.

This news comes as Capcom releases a new, extended HD trailer for the game, which we've so nicely added for you to check out above.

The full game will be available from 13 March.
