If doing yoga on your Wii Balance Board isn't quite cutting it when it comes to the thrill you like to get from sport, the SkiGym simulator may be something you want to consider.

Promising to improve your skiing ability and give you a workout in the process, the fully-motorised SkiGym comes with an Alpine Ski Racing game for the PC, but you can also use it as a piece of exercise equipment on its own.

As you'd imagine, this bit of kit will set you back a fair bit of cash, with a current price tag of 1649 euros (around £1500).
