Killzone 2 dated for the US, European date unsure

But could it be the same?

Sony has confirmed an American release date for Killzone 2, but has been a little less forthcoming with information about when European gamers can expect to see it on their shelves.

America will see the game released on 27 February, but it seems Europe will just have to be patient and wait for a future announcement.

"We are targeting a similar time frame for the release of Killzone 2 in the PAL regions; specific launch dates will be communicated at a later date", said a Sony Europe spokesperson.

Interestingly though, the 27 February is a Friday, which is a strange date for an American release as they usually happen on Tuesdays. This has led to some speculation that it will be a worldwide date, but why it wouldn't be confirmed as such now if this is true, we can't work out.

We'll keep you updated with anything we hear for a European release.
