Xbox Live Silver members to get free online multiplayer

Eight games in new December initiative

Microsoft has launched a new Xbox Live initiative that will see Xbox Live Silver members able to access online multiplayer for free in a select number of games.

Dubbed "Friendship is Free", eight games will have the free online multiplayer offer available until the end of December.

The games on offer aren't bad, and includes the new Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix which is certainly the highlight of the bunch.

Other games in the list include the first game to offer full avatar control, A Kingdom for Keflings, as well as Aegis Wing, Bomberman Live and Uno.

The full list of games is as follows:

* A Kingdom for Keflings

* Bomberman Live
* Hardwood Hearts
* Hardwood Spades
* Uno
* Small Arms
* Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
