Ghostbusters set for June 2009 release

Atari date game after buying it last month

While once its future hung in the balance, Atari has now confirmed a release date for the long-awaited Ghostbusters game.

The multi-platform game is set for release in June 2009, the year of the film's 25th anniversary.

The game led the announcements at the Atari press gathering today, during which the publisher also announced a new music title in development for the Wii.

Atari got the licence for the game from former rights holder Vivendi last month.

The title will be released simultaneously on 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PS2 and PC in June 2009, but an exact date has not yet been announced.
