Capcom's Japanese website has let PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers in on what extras they can expect from console-specific special editions when the game launches next year.

The PS3 version will include a making-of video extra, which according to the translation will be produced by "Hollywood staff". The documentary is set to come on the same disc as the game, creating what Capcom has said is the world's first hybrid of game and Blu-ray video for the PS3.

Xbox 360 gamers can look forward to the "Deluxe Edition" of the game which includes the CD soundtrack in an exclusive metal packaging.

These two special bundles join the already announced Limited Edition version which includes a 2Gb memory stick based on an in-game item, a 32-page art book and waist pouch.

Resident Evil 5 is set for release in Europe on Friday 13 March 2009.
