Play.com offers GTA IV for £17.99 in Mega Monday sale

Manhunt 2, Far Cry 2 and Bioshock with same price tag

To help with the ever-present credit crunch in the run up to Christmas, Play.com has launched its Mega Monday sale reducing a number of new releases to under £18.

Games with the rather reasonable £17.99 price tag include Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Saints Row 2, Shaun White Snowboarding, High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance!, GTA IV, Manhunt 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, The Last Remnant, Bioshock and Far Cry 2.

"Last year, 6 December was the biggest day for online shopping with Play.com taking over 600 orders per minute in the peak period and this year we are expecting this to double", said Play.com MD Stuart Rowe

"This year the games category has been the fastest growing area for Play.com and we’re anticipating this to continue right up to Christmas week with the number of great quality titles available really helping us achieve this growth.
