Bundled with a remix and the advert on iTunes

Xbox releases Gears 2 advert music

28 November 2008 17:23 GMT / By Verity Burns

Microsoft has announced that Gears of War 2 megafans will soon be able to download a little bundle of the music that accompanied its emotive TV ad Last Day.

The trailer followed on from the equally emotive "Mad World" advert for the first game, and featured the track "How It Ends" by Colorado-based band Devotchka,

Now to celebrate the success of Gears of War 2, and of course generate a bit more money in the process, Xbox is offering the original track, an exclusive remix and the original TV ad for 79p from iTunes.

Stephen McGill, head of gaming & entertainment at Microsoft UK, said: "Due to the incredible success of the game in the UK and the insatiable demand for all things GOW2 from fans of the franchise, we're thrilled to be able to offer consumers the chance to enjoy the track from the new TV ad campaign 'How It Ends' as a bona fide single release".

You'll be able to get the bundle from 1 December
