Tomb Raider: Underworld Wii glitch leaves Lara stuck

But its not unsolvable, says Eidos

Eidos has acknowledged a glitch in the Wii version of Tomb Raider: Underworld, that prevents players progressing further than the Thailand level of the game.

The publisher has described the bug as rare and "extremely infrequent" but that it affects the presence of a lever in the game. This should open an underwater escape route from the Coastal Thailand Level, but in the cases where it doesn't appear, leaves Lara trapped indefinitely. How frustrating.

A statement from the publisher says: "Eidos sincerely apologises to anyone who has experienced this frustrating problem. The quality of our games is paramount to us and the Nintendo Wii version of Tomb Raider: Underworld went through three separate QA testing departments prior to release. Regrettably anomalies such as this do occur occasionally in video games despite the best efforts by publishers to avoid them".

"The good news", it adds, "is that it is not an unsolvable bug, so if you encounter it and it persists please visit www.eidosinteractive.co.uk/support/worldmap.html".

And there you have it folks.
