Sony dismisses leaked info as "rumour and speculation"

But is there smoke without fire?

Sony has declined to comment following a reported leak of the full contents of its staff annual briefing.

The information supposedly came through a "source" who attended the briefing, and included hints that Sony plans to make PS3 pricing "more competitive" from March next year.

SCEE boss David Rees apparently also divulged that there would be "technical innovations" to come for both the PS3 and PSP, but no further details were given.

Sony has responded to the leak, simply dismissing all the released information as "rumour and speculation".

The source also claims to have seen footage for Uncharted 2 and God of War 3, as well as LittleBigPlanet for PSP. And if the source is to be believed, expect big things from God of War 3, particularly in the graphics department.

For now, the information should be taken with a pinch of salt and a dash of interest, until we get further confirmation from Sony themselves.
