Sony has added a new channel to the Go!View service offered on the PSP.

Users will now be able to get educated with shows from The History Channel, with hours of content currently available. This includes popular series such as Ax Men, Rome: Rise and Fall of an Empire and Dogfights, as well as a range of one hour documentaries.

Content from The History Channel is offered as part of the Entertainment subscription pack, which is charged at £5 a month.

Richard Melman, acting managing director of The History Channel says; "We are absolutely delighted to expand and capitalise on the success of The History Channel via this exciting new platform."

Of course, if that's not quite your thing, there are also Sports and Comedy Packs available for the same monthly subscription, with discounts offered if you subscribe to more than one.

You can also rent movies and the latest TV shows which allow you to watch for a limited time for a one off charge.

For more information, head over to the Go!View website.
