A 28-year-old British woman is filing for divorce after finding out her husband was sleeping with another woman in online virtual world Second Life.Amy Taylor cited "unreasonable behavior" in her filing for divorce, after deciding she just couldn't put the cyber sex behind her.
"I went mad – I was so hurt," Taylor stated. "I just couldn't believe what he'd done. I looked at the computer screen and could see his character having sex with a female character. It's cheating as far as I'm concerned.
"The solicitor wasn't at all surprised. She said it was her second divorce case involving Second Life that week."
Of course, Ms. Taylor knows what it's like to hook up online - her soon-to-be ex-husband and her met in a chatroom in 2003. But in the spirit of not letting the gamers get you down, she now has a new man in her life, after meeting him playing World of Warcraft.
