No second-hand gamers for Wii Speak Channel

One-time activation code with first purchase

14 November 2008 13:58 GMT / By Verity Burns

Only those gamers who first buy the Wii Speak peripheral will be able to use it with the associated Wii Speak Channel, Nintendo has confirmed.

That means anyone buying the peripheral second hand will not have access to the channel, and won't ever be able to either.

Wii Speak is set to come with a one-time activation code that can only be used once and will not be replaced, so second hand sellers may not be so successful with this extra.

The moral to this story? Fork out the cash for the peripheral or don't get access to the Wii Speak Channel. Nintendo knew what they were doing there...

Wii Speak is set to be released in the UK on December 5th and will sell for £25 RRP.
