Media Molecule is set to offer up some free downloadable costumes for LittleBigPlanet next week, in the form of a pumpkin mask and Launch SpacesuitAccording to the PlayStation blog, the freebies are to celebrate both Halloween and the launch of the highly anticipated game. They'll no doubt also go someway to apologising for the teething problems the game has had since its release in the States.
The freebies will be available from the 6th to 19th November.
However, this will not be the end of LBP costumes. Gamers will also be treated to free community-created outfits and various creations from Media Molecule as well.
The official MM costumes will set you back $0.99 for outfits such as frogs and gorillas, or $1.99 for premium outfits like the Solid Snake outfit already announced. These will occassionally be bundled into packs of four for a reduced price, which makes it easier for those of you who can't make decisions.
Finally, there will also be rare items like a Media Molecule t-shirt, that will be time and number limited, although they won't be available just yet.
Costumes are just one of the types of downloadable content Media Molecule has planned for LBP that will not only enhance your SackBoy, but also give you more objects, materials, stickers, sounds and music to play around with, and also gameplay enhancements.
LittleBigPlanet is due for release here on 5th November. Head to the gallery to look at some of the pictures of the costumes you can expect.
