Activision confirms DJ Hero in development

Scratching is the new strumming

There have been murmerings that Activision has been working on a DJ Hero game, ever since the company trademarked the name some while back.

Well an Activision project director has now confirmed that the publisher is indeed working on the title.

Rather to the point, Brian Bright said: "Activision's doing a DJ Hero game, and I can't comment on what we're doing."

Similar to the guitar accessory that comes with Guitar Hero, the game is reported to use a custom turntable peripheral for scratching and sampling.

UK-based B-Boy developer FreeStyleGames is reported to be developing the game, after it was acquired by Activision last month, and the game could be on our shelves as soon as summer 2009.
