Microsoft has offered $25,000 as a reward in the search for a missing Canadian teenager, who ran away after his parents took his Xbox 360 console away from him.

The $25,000 matches an existing reward for information that leads to the safe return of 15-year-old Brandon Crisp.

"Like everyone, we are deeply worried about the disappearance of Brandon Crisp," said Microsoft.

"Law enforcement has contacted Microsoft about this matter and we are co-operating fully with them. We are unable to comment further on the nature of our co-operation because of the ongoing investigation."

Brandon went missing on October 13th following an argument with his parents, who believed he was "addicted" to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and took away his console.

His parents have already openly admitted their fear that he has fled to someone he has met over Xbox Live, and the police have reportedly asked Microsoft to divulge the list of players on Brandon's friend list who he has played with recently.

Searches in Brandon's local area of Barrie, Ontario have so far been unsuccessful.

Here's hoping for his safe return soon.
