Media Molecule is reportedly already working on a sequel to the hugely-hyped LittleBigPlanet.A report from the BBC said that "even before the game has hit the shops, the team are already at work on a sequel", however neither Media Molecule or Sony were quoted in the piece, or have commented since.
It does seem to be a game that is certainly suitable for expansion, whether via PSN or other discs, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. Plus, if you consider the anticipation surrounding the first game, the idea of a sequel isn't completely far fetched.
"I feel so proud of what they have done, which is phenomenal," said Peter Molyneux, head of Lionhead Studios. "They have started a company from scratch with one of the most amazing and creative ideas that this industry has ever seen and come out with a huge success."
While it's not quite a success just yet, early reviews suggest it may well live up to its hype. UK gamers will be able to get their hands on it on 5th November. Gaming, PS3, Media Molecule, LittleBigPlanet, Platform games
