Gears of War 2 will not reach Germany or Japan
Will not be available "indefinitely"

Microsoft has confirmed that Gears of War 2 will not be released in either German or Japan.
Fans in those territories shouldn't hold out hope for a later release either, it seems.
A Microsoft spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Gears of War 2 will not be available in Germany or Japan indefinitely."
No reason was given for the lack of release in these territories. The original Gears of War sold 33,212 copies in Japan in its first week, entering the software charts at number seven.
The game has proved popular worldwide, with sales across the globe reaching over three million.
