More details of TrackMania DS have been released - including the game's release date.

On the shelves on November 21st, the new handheld offering of arcade series will treat players to more than a hundred circuits to tear around, in three different single-player modes.

The three different modes you can expect to see are Desert, Rally and Stadium, with different handling required on each.

The Rally courses will see you battling dirt paths and winding hilly tracks, while the Desert environment will have you negotiating chain bridges and potholes through dusty, stony canyons. The Stadium environment on the other hand is all about speed, speed, speed - and the odd power-slide.

To drive in such different environments, you're going to need the right vehicles to make the best of it. You'll get an ultra-light, powerful vehicle for the Rally circuits, a car with sensitive suspension and handling for the Desert, and a F1 racer for the Stadium environment.

If this sounds like your sort of game, snap it up next month when it's released for Nintendo DS, priced at £29.99.
