Microsoft is suing DHL Express for the loss of 21,600 Xbox 360s following a train derailment in Texas.

Court documents filed in the U.S District Court for the Western Disrict of Washington in Seattle say that Microsoft is asking for more the $2m in damages for two containers of Xbox consoles. Apparently they sustained "impact damage, wetting, pilfering and shortage" after the derailment happened near Duke, Texas.

The consoles were on their way to Flexronics Industrial in Hong Kong, via Long Beach, California.

DHL has apparently so far refused to compensate Microsoft for the loss, but have to yet make a public statement on the incident.
