Force Unleashed holds top position in all-format chart

Despite sales dropping 38%

The top of the all-formats charts remains unchanged this week, as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed held its number one position for the second week running, despite a 38% drop in sales.

Older favourites Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii held strong and also maintained their positions, at number two and three respectively.

The biggest competition the top three had this week was Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, which was the highest new entry at number 4, while Disney's Pure made its debut into the top ten at number eight.

A whole host of sports-based games padded out the lower end of the top ten, with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 coming in at five, Wii Play at six and Big Beach Sports at nine.

Carnival: Funfair Games made it to seven this week, with Guitar Hero III holding strong at number ten.

Elsewhere, Mercenaries fell out of the top ten to 11, Warhammer Online held onto its number 13 position, and Halo 3 re-entered the charts at number 30. Could there be any link between this and the teaser trailer Bungie held last week for the new Halo add-on? We think so.
