PS3 getting exclusive DLC for Mirror's Edge

But it's not a timed exclusive for the console as first thought

So let's clear something up first - Mirror's Edge will not be a timed PS3 exclusive as first thought - but, it will get exclusive downloadable content for the game.

The confusion started after a German website quoted Sony boss David Reese as saying the title would released for the PS3 first. EA quickly denied the claim, and a Sony spokesperson has backed this up, stating: "There was a misunderstanding in terms of the quote that Mirror's Edge is to be a timed exclusive on PS3."

However, Sony has confirmed that although the game will be multi-platform, that the PS3 will be getting extra downloadable content for its players that other formats will not be receiving.

"PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title. Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."

So there you have it - all formats will be getting the game on the same day, but PlayStation gamers will just be getting that little bit more.
